The roach goes to 4lb 3oz in the uk. A specimen is a 2 pounder.They are easy too catch but can be tricky.There are alot off small roach not many big ones. The big ones often come out too carp anglers. My pb roach with coarse tackle is 2lb 7oz.And pb roach on carp tackle is 3lb 7oz , caught on two 12mil boillies.

The mirror carp. Now the most common in most waters.They grow up to 66 pound in the uk.And 99 pound around the world (france).They can be very scaly like the one in the picture. And i favour them more than the common carp. They like boillies sweetcorn every bait. But fresh smelly boillies catch alot more fish for me.

The common carp now not the most common. In the uk they grow up to 64 lb (benson).In the world they grow above 85lb.They come in all differant colours from a dark colour, to a pale white.They are stuning if you get a good condition one.

The barbel.Mainly lives in rivers. goes up too high double. A 10 pounder is a specimen. They fight hard this one in the picture was 3lb and a fresh water barbel , i caught it on carp tackle played it for 10 mins and it nearly killed it self.

The rudd. It goes to around 4lb 5oz. The bottom lip is further out then the top lip.It takes bait on the drop.It is beutiful gold colours. They are quite round and fat. The rudd and the roach like most baits but really like magots and corn.

The tench grows up to mid to high double. A 7 to 8 poudisa good tench. They are really hard fighting.There slime heals other fish as they rubb against them.They like weed and most baits defo maggots and partices.

The bream go to high doubles. A double figure is a specimen.They are slimy and stinky if you get bream slime on you. They dont fight just come in like wet bags. Easy to make a big match weight. And can be a pest to big fih carp anglers.

Pike they can grow too 44lb in the uk scotland has alot off bigpike and so does ireland and wales.They are predators and attack other fish including it self.They get caught on smelly dead baits and spining.Also match angler may land them when they bring small roach e.c.t.

The catfish they grow up too 100 pound in the uk , but have been claimed up to 700 pound in other countrys.They are really hard fightin fish and if you dont have the right tackle they will smash you up.These are also fish eating

The perch also another predator fish it grows to over 5lb. You can catch them by spining deadbaiting and by coarse fishing with maggots and worms.

Koi the beuty off these are they come in every colour. They grow up to 55lb. There are alot in ponds.But some floods flushed them into lakes and rivers.
