Angling journal 1
I arrived at hunters lodge fishery.I planned to go on a peg called deep spot.But it was taken so i went in toilet peg.I set up in heavy rain and a muddy peg.Cast one to right margin and one to the left bay.Both on corn also tried maggot and boillie. Had a few bleeps and knocks.With 2 small pic-ups.From the smaller carp @ 3 or 4lb.At bout 2:45 i watched the water constant nothing at all with sighns of fish.So i went and talked to a few people one guy had 4 on the middle peg.And a guy to the left had 7 but has been there since thursday carp up to 17lb.I recast and went to talk to a few well bank mates.We ordered a take away capri in brigg delivery to the lake.We waited about 5 mins,Then on my reciver i got beep beep then 2 qick beeps.We all looked then off it went i through the pepsi out of my cup and ran.Down the muddy side bank Jumped about 3meters over the poodles through cup strook into it.THEY SHOUTED YOU IN I SHOUTED YES IT A GOOD FISH.I played it on the clutch knowing, i could trust the tackle and rig.It went for my other rod.Clutch mega tight and slowly side straighn on the fish.It just missed the end of my rod.I got my new greys net on the right side.It was a mirror a nice fish to.I got his head up then i scooped the net under the fish.I left him in the net as i got sorted out.Everything ready i lifted it weighed 13lb 4oz.Very pleased as the peg was not the best well the 2nd worst in my eyes.So i got the video rolling then i got a good few pictures (Top left.).So i sliped him back in the weigh sling.I went and told the lads.And i knew the take-away would be here in the next hour.So i got back changed my trousers and tops and thermal bottoms.As they was wet from me knealing down in the mud and rain.New dry clothes.I got a shout it hear ran round got my take-away and went back to the bivvy.Ate my burger chips and Garlic bread.Got both rods and sorted them out with the vision night electro plasm.So i re-cast checked the buzzers and the clutch all set.I put my head down for 2 mins and next min i woke up at midnight.I checked everything was ok.I left the bivvy door open.So i could see any movement. Woke up at 7am and then went to sleep it was dead all night no fish at all out.The rain stoped the wind started.On willows lake a few day anglers came a guy called dim was there.We had a good chat about ashby ville and the cold weather everything we could think of really.I got most gear packed away and moved it to the car park.I left the frame of the bivvy rods and net.Grandad came so i packed all the gear away gave it 30mins to see if one poped along.It did'nt.So i had a last look a last talk.So one fish a nice mirror at 13lb 4oz it was all worth it.
